Songoftheday 10/2/18 - Daydreaming about you baby and it must be love, girl you make my heart go crazy high as the heavens above...
"The Right Kind Of Love" - Jeremy Jordan
from the albums Beverly Hills 90210 (Original Soundtrack) (1992) and Try My Love (1993)
Billboard Hot 100 peak: #14 (one week)
Weeks in the Top-40: 12
Today's song of the day comes from teen-pop singer Jeremy Jordan, who got his break when his first single, "The Right Kind Of Love", was chosen for the soundtrack to the teen "night soap opera" Beverly Hills, 90210. Written by Robbie Nevil, Tommy Faragher, and Lotti Golden who also produced the track, it was selected to be the second American single from the record after the top-5 success of "Saving Forever For You" by Shanice, and mainstream radio picked up the harmless midtempo pop-dance jam easily...
"The Right Kind Of Love" became Jeremy's first and biggest pop hit in March of 1993. Internationally, the single was a big success in Australia, peaking at #5, while in Canada, it stalled down at #70 for a couple of weeks.
