"All Night Dancing" was a club hit for the Minneapolis-based disco-funk group Lipps Inc. Appearing on their debut album Mouth To Mouth as well as being the "B-side" to their #1 pop hit "Funkytown", the song was written and produced by leader Steven Greenberg. On Billboard magazine's Disco Top-100 chart, the Mouth To Mouth album charted as a single entry, with "Funkytown" and "All Night Dancing" as the key cuts. The set spent a month (four weeks) at #1 there in 1980.
