Disco Dessert 4/20/20 - "The Player" from First Choice...

"The Player" was a seminal pre-disco soul single from the female vocal group First Choice. The title track from their 1974 album The Player, the song was produced by Norman Harris of the group MFSB, who co-wrote it with Allen Felder. It was released too early to appear on Billboard's Disco chart, but made it to #7 on their R&B list and #70 on the pop Hot 100.
