"Ain't Nothin' Goin' On But The Rent" was a big club hit for the late soul singer Gwen Guthrie. Appearing on her album Good To Go Lover, the song was both written and produced by Gwen. On Billboard magazine's Hot Dance/Disco Club Play chart, it spent two weeks at #1 in 1986, while reaching #5 on the singles chart in the UK.
