"Cocomotion" was a club hit for the studio group Cocomotion, started by producers Rinder & Lewis (who charted under their own names as well). Appearing on their fourth album Cocomotion, the song was produced by Laurin Rinder and W. Michael Lewis, who both co-wrote it with Merria Ross. On Billboard magazine's National Disco Action Top-40 chart, the Cocomotion album charted as one entry, with "Cocomotion", "I'm Mad As Hell", "Love To The World", and "Got That Feeling" listed as key club cuts. The set peaked at #6 in 1977, spending a hefty 21 weeks on the list.
