Disco Dessert 4/26/20 - "Fantastic Voyage" from Lakeside...

"Fantastic Voyage" was a club and radio hit for the funk group Lakeside. Appearing on their album Fantastic Voyage, the song was written and produced by the Dayton, Ohio band. On Billboard magazine's Disco Top 100 chart, the song was listed with its "B-side", "Can't Get You Out Of My Head", and went to #12 in 1980, staying on the list for a half a year (26 weeks). "Fantastic Voyage" also topped the R&B chart, but only got to #55 on the pop Hot 100, though rapper Coolio would reinterpret the single into a top-3 hit in 1994.
