Disco Dessert 4/25/20 - "Fever" by Sylvester....

"Fever" was a club hit for legendary disco singer Sylvester. Appearing on his album Sell My Soul, the song is a remake of the blues classic by Otis Blackwell and Eddie Cooley, and made famous by the pop rendition from Peggy Lee. On Billboard magazine's Disco Top-100 chart, the Sell My Soul album charted as a single entry, though only "I Need You" and "Sell My Soul" were listed as key cuts, this smoking version was a favorite in the gay clubs nonetheless. It went to #6 in 1980, spending 18 weeks on the list.
