Disco Dessert 4/18/20 - "Cuba" from the Gibson Brothers...
"Cuba" was a club hit for the French sibling group the Gibson Brothers, who weren't from that Caribbean island, but rather from another, the French territory of Martinique. Appearing on their album Cuba, the song was produced by Daniel Vangarde, who co-wrote the song with Jean Kluger, a writer/producer from Belgium. On Billboard magazine's Disco Top-80 chart, "Cuba" climbed to #9 in 1979. A year later, it was a top-40 hit in Britain at #12.
