Disco Dessert 6/21/19 - "Heart Of Glass" from Blondie...
"Heart Of Glass" was a massive pop hit for the new wave/post-punk band Blondie. Appearing on their album Parallel Lines, the song was written by lead singer Debbie Harry and guitarist Chris Stein. Although the single topped the American pop charts, it somehow only managed to go to #58 on Billboard magazine's Disco Top 80 in 1979. They would re-issue the single in 1995 with new remixes which did a bit better, going to #7 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music Club Play list.
