"This Is It" was the first club hit for soul and stage legend Melba Moore. Appearing on her fourth studio album This Is It, the song was written by the late Van McCoy, who is most famous for his own instrumental disco classic "The Hustle". On the Disco File Top 20 chart in Record World magazine, the song peaked at #10, while going to #9 in the UK. It also got to #18 on Billboard's R&B chart and #91 on the pop Hot 100 in America. The song would eventually be remade into an top ten hit in Britain for Dannii Minogue in 1993...
