Disco Dessert 6/18/19 - "Girls" from the Moments and the Whatnauts...

"Girls" was a club and urban radio hit for the collaboration between two classic soul groups, the DC-based Moments and the Baltimore group the Whatnauts. Appearing on the Moments' album Those Sexy Moments, the track climbed to #12 on the Disco Action chart in Billboard magazine in 1975. The single also made it to #25 on their R&B chart, but was most successful overseas as a staple of the "Northern Soul" movement, where it climbed to #3 on the British singles chart.
