Disco Dessert 6/2/20 - "Pick Me Up, I'll Dance" from Melba Moore...

"Pick Me Up, I'll Dance" was a club hit for singer/actress Melba Moore. Appearing on her 1978 album Melba on Epic Records, the song was produced by the team of Gene McFadden and John Whitehead of "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now" fame, who both co-wrote it with Ronald Rose. On Billboard magazine's Disco Top-80 chart, the single entered the list on the same week as her song "Standing Right Here" on her old record label Buddah Records, but this one did a little better, rising to #22.
