"It's A Better Than Good Time" was a radio disco hit for soul legends Gladys Knight & The Pips. Appearing on their final album for Buddah Records, The One & Only, the song was written and produced by British songwriter Tony Macaulay, the man behind such pop classics as "Baby Now That I Found You" by the Foundations and "Last Night (I Didn't Get To Sleep At All)" from the Fifth Dimension. Remixed by the legendary Walter Gibbons, the song was a club favorite, even if it never made any of Billboard magazine's "disco" charts. The single did rise to #16 on their R&B chart in 1978.
