twostepcub's music chart for June 12, 2020...

Friday is here, and it's time to run down my top 100 "hit" tunes from the previous week. Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj spend a second week at #1, while Camila Cabello and DaBaby (pictured above) climb two notches in the top ten. Songs from BENEE, Miranda Lambert, and Keith Urban make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red), while former big hits from Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, Brett Young, and Ingrid Andress drop out. And everything is Spotify playlisted at the end to check out. Topple that statue!

There are eleven songs making their debut on my chart this week (highlighted in blue), and if you click on any of them, you'll connect to that artist's official website for more info. And here they are on video, after the break...

(Click below to see the rest of the post)

Claiming the top debut of the week are the Jonas Brothers, who follow up their single "What A Man Gotta Do", which made the top ten on my list, with "X" featuring Latin Pop star Karol G, at #65...

Neo-soul artist Kem returns at #76 with his latest slow jam, "Lie To Me"...

Country singer Justin Moore pour himself in at #79 with "Why We Drink", the second single from his fifth album Late Nights and Longnecks...

Christopher Comstock, aka DJ Marshmello, teams up with alt-pop siren Halsey for the song at #81, "Be Kind"...

There are now two different songs titled "In Your Eyes" on my list this week, as the Weeknd's single climbs in the top-40, German DJ/producer Robin Schulz arrives at #87 featuring Norwegian singer Alida...

Meanwhile, Norwegian DJ/producer Kygo sees his fifth song from his latest album Golden Hour reach my chart as "Lose Somebody" with OneRepublic enters at #88...

Bro-country king Luke Bryan is back at #93 with the second preview from his upcoming August release Born Here Live Here Die Here, "One Margarita"...

R&B newcomer Summer Walker makes her debut at #96 with "Playing Games" featuring singer/rapper Bryson Tiller...

Chris Janson pulls in at #98 with his country radio hit "Done"...

Well, you can definitely see the slowdown of new material on the charts because of the COVID quarantines, as a couple of songs that probably never would make my list pop on simply because nothing else meets my parameters (top ten/20/30 of different charts depending, plus there's no dance club chart for now). Justin Bieber at least goes a little better than the simply horrid "Yummy" that thankfully bombed with the marginally OK "Intentions" with rapper Quavo of Migos slips in at #99...

And as he tops the Billboard Hot 100 (I made this list before then), rapper DaBaby squeezes in at #100 with "Rockstar" featuring Roddy Ricch (whose own "The Box" is hanging around at #85)...
