Disco Dessert 6/15/20 -"Dream World" from Don Downing...

"Dreamworld" was a pre-disco soul nugget from the singer Don Downing. Originally released in 1973, the song, written by Douglas Bright and Casey Spencer, was produced by Tony Bongiovi (yes, cousin of Jon), Meco Menardo, and Fred Ellis. It would eventually appear on his sole album Doctor Boogie in 1978, in an extended version mixed by the legendary Tom Moulton. It never appeared on any of the charts in Billboard magazine, but it was an early club favorite and seminal track in the evolution of the genre.
