"I Am Somebody" was a club hit for R&B singer Glenn Jones. Appearing on his debut EP Everybody Loves A Winner, the song was written by Kossi Gardner and produced and remixed by Robert Wright. On Billboard magazine's Dance/Disco Top-80 chart, the single peaked at #43 in 1983, while climbing to #30 on their R&B chart as his first hit. Glenn would eventually move from dance music to more adult soul and have much bigger success in the late 1980s/early 1990s.
