Disco Dessert 6/5/20 - "I Got The Feeling" from Two Tons O' Fun...
"I Got The Feeling" was a club and radio hit for the vocal duo Two Tons O'Fun. Martha Wash and Izora Redman made up the act, who would change their name to The Weather Girls in a few years time. Appearing on their album Two Tons O'Fun, the song was written by Don Miley, Frank Loverde, and James Wirrick, and produced by Patrick Cowley, who also worked on the artist the pair sang backup for, Sylvester. On Billboard magazine's Disco Top 100 chart, the Two Tons Of Fun album charted as a single entry, with "all cuts" marked for club play. The record spent two weeks at #2 in 1980, spending 30 weeks on the chart in 1980.
