Disco Dessert 6/6/20 - "Disco Inferno" from the Trammps...

"Disco Inferno" was a club and radio hit for the R&B group the Trammps. Appearing on their album Disco Inferno and most famous for its inclusion in the movie Saturday Night Fever, the song was produced by Ron Kersey, who wrote the track with Leroy Green. On Billboard magazine's National Disco Action Top-40, the Disco Inferno album charted as a single entry, with "Disco Inferno", "Starvin'", and "Body Contact Contract" picked out as notable cuts. The record spent six weeks at #1 there in 1975. On the American pop chart, where it originally peaked down at #53, after the Saturday Night Fever run the song just missed the top ten at #11.
