Pop Sweep: June 9th, 2012...

Hey folks, it's time for the weekly rundown of the songs making their debut on Billboard's Hot 100 and Adult-Pop charts this week.

On the big chart, American Idol winner Philip Phillips (I think it should be changed to Phil! Philip! Phile'ps!) puts his winner's song right into the top-10 at #10, the first since the battle of the Davids in 2008.

Katy Perry's second single from the expanded edition of Teenage Dream comes in all the way in the top-40 at #35. Here's "Wide Awake"...

Latino rapper and political ignoramus Lupe Fiasco is back with a song supposedly previewing a 2 album concept called Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album with "Around My Way (Freedom Isn't Free)" at #76

Speaking of ignoramuses, Chris Brown comes in at #89 with the zillionth single he on or featiured on, "Don't Wake Me Up". At least it's another gay disco song with the Benassi Brothers...

Jason Derulo enters at #90 with a song with lyrics derived from American Idol audience members through a CocaCola promotion, "Undefeated"...

Kosovo-born British singer Rita Ora debuts at #96 with her dance hit "How We Do (Party)"..

and lastly, at #97 is Philip Phillips again with his version of Bob Seger's "We've Got Tonight"...

Meanwhile, over on the Adult Pop list, Katy Perry matches her #35 debut here, while Alanis Morissette returns after a four year break at #36 with "Guardian"...

the other two debuts are crossovers from dance radio, first Usher at #38 with "Scream"...

and Rihanna's in at #39 with "Where Have You Been"...
