Pop Sweep: June 30, 2012...

Hey folks, it's Saturday, so time for my five-part sweep of Billboard magazine's weekly music charts. First up, the new music hitting the Hot 100 pop and adult top-40 charts.

This week's high debut for the third week in a row is Justin Bieber, who's Believe album dropped this past Tuesday, and the preview track "As Long As You Love Me" featuring rapper Big Sean comes in at #21 (and at #5 on the sales list)...

British singer Cher Lloyd, a former contestant on the UK version of the X Factor, debuts at #75 with a song that was actually her third single there and didn't make the top-10. But American's are lovin' "Want U Back"...

Speaking of singing competitions, The Voice mentor Blake Shelton puts the fourth single from latest album Red River Blue in at #89. It's "Over"...

Matchbox Twenty preview their upcoming North album at #91 (and #27 on adult top-40, the highest entry there) with "She's So Mean", their first after a four-year break...sounds like they're listening to Train...

Country hottie Lee Brice follows up his pop top-40 "A Woman Like You" at #96 with "Hard To Love"...

and one rung below that is rapper Driicky Graham (um, yeah that's spelled that way) with "Snapbacks and Tattoos"...

Oh lord.

Meanwhile, over on adult-top40, besides Matchbox Twenty, there are two debuts - first American Idol winner Philip Phillips with his 'winner's song', "Home" at #37. They are so trying for the Mumford & Sons/Bon Iver vibe here...

and Gym Class Heroes have the third adult-pop hit from their latest Papercut Chronicles II debut at #39. Featuring OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, it's "The Fighter"...

Next up, the newest rock songs...
