Today's Song of the Day is by Australian singer and actor Rick Springfield. In 1982, Rick's career was in high gear, being a regular on the soap opera General Hospital as Dr. Noah Drake, and having three top-10 pop hits, with "Jessie's Girl" earning him a Grammy for Male Rock Performance.

"What Kind Of Fool Am I", the second single from his second post-revival album after the #2 pop hit "Dont Talk To Strangers", raced up the charts only to stall out frustratingly at #21 for six weeks.

The song also just missed the top-40 in Canada, peaking at #41. However, the song is still a cool throwback to the power-pop of the early 80s that doesnt get played on oldies radio as much as it should.
