Rock Sweep: July 7, 2012...
It's part two time for my "chart sweeps" of the newest music on Billboard magazine. This time it's the Rock Songs, Alternative, and Triple-A (hipster-rock) charts...
On the Rock Songs list, the highest entry at #46 (so close) comes from New Brunswick, New Jersey's own Gaslight Anthem, with a track from their upcoming CD Handwritten that's already on the Alternative list, "45"...

Coming in at #48 is the only new song debuting on the Alternative Rock list, and it's the fourth single from punkers Rise Against excellent Endgame album, which includes their biggest hit of their career so far, "Help Is On The Way". The new single is "Wait For Me"...
At #49 is another modern rock charting hit, AWOLnation with the followup to their top-10 hits "Sail" and "Not Your Fault", it's "Kill Your Heroes"..
and finally, at #50, another alt-rock charting hit (making it four for four), British rockers the Wombats with "Jump Into The Fog"...
Meanwhile, over on the Triple-A radio list at #29 is LA folk-rockers Dawes with "If I Wanted Someone"...
Not a bad one in the bunch.... my pick this week is tough, but gotta hand it to Gaslight Anthem...
Next up, the newest track on the R&B charts...
