Soul Sweep: July 7, 2012...
Hey everyone, thanks for stoppin' by, and now time for part three of this week's "chart sweeps" of Billboard magazine's music lists for this week. This time out it's the newest songs hitting the R&B/Hip-Hop and Adult R&B charts...
On the main R&B/Hip-Hop list, the highest debut belongs to Houston singer/songwriter Tami LaTrell, who strikes out on her own at #73 with "It's Over"...

In at #89 is a song that also it the highest debuting song on the Adult R&B list (at #31). It's "Don't Mind", the sixth charting single from Mary J. Blige's My Life II...The Journey Continues (Part 1) CD (that's a mouthful)...
Coming on at #90 is another song already on the Adult list, Kenny Lattimore with "Find A Way"..
At #93 is producer/DJ Lil Chuckee with "Da Wop"...
and at #100 is the OMG Girlz with "Where The Boyz At?"....
Meanwhile over on the Adult R&B list, British singer Rebecca Ferguson, who was runner-up on that country's 7th season of X Factor behind Matt Cardle, has an excellent album out now, Heaven, and the second single arrives at #35, it's "Run Free"...it reminds me of another British R&B singer, Harriet, from the 90s...
Finally, at #39, is gospel singer James Fortune, who gets some help from mainstream artists FIYA and Monica, as well as Fred Hammond, on "Hold On"...
My pick by far is Rebecca Ferguson - grab her album pronto...
Up next, the new country singles making it to radio this week...
