Brit Sweep: June 24, 2012...
Hey folks, I'm back from NYC pride, and before I hit the hay, I'll recap the newest tunes debuting across the pond in England. This week there's not much being released, but a couple good ones..
Finally being able to be sold in the UK (and after a 'copycat' version by "Precision Tunes" made the top-10 there), Maroon5 and Wiz Khalifa debut up and the #1 spot. And damn, Adam Levine still looks fine even beaten to shit...
London girl-group Stooshe score their second top-5 hit with "Black Heart", and it showcases their vocals pretty well, I really like this in a retro sort of way...

Paul Weller of the Jam and the Style Council recorded a version of the Beatles' "Birthday" in commemoration of Paul McCartney's birthday, and only offered it for sale for one day on Amazon.com, yet it managed to debut at #64..
The late cabaret folk singer Eva Cassidy has one of her album tracks hit the top-100 in the UK at #79 with her version of Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time"...
And while Justin Bieber's Believe album debuts at #1 in England, the final preview track comes in at #84, it's "Beauty and A Beat" with Nicki Minaj...
Singer/songwriter Josh Osho arrives at #89 with "Redemption Days" featuring Wu-Tang Clan's Ghostface Killah..
Next up, 'grime' rapper JME at #90 with "Murking"...it's different.
Finally, at #100 is Cheryl (formerly Cole)'s followup to her former #1 "Call My Name". Featuring rapper Wretch 32, it's "Screw You"...
Now goodnight, all!
