"Give A Broken Heart A Break" was a club hit for the Baltimore-based soul group Impact, formed by the former Temptation singer Damon Harris. Appearing on the band's self-titled debut album, the song was written by Len Barry with producer Bobby Eli and featured the horn section from funk group Tower of Power. On Record World magazine's Disco File Top-20 chart, the single peaked at #11 in 1976. It also made the R&B top-40 in Billboard at #36. Harris, an advocate in the fight against prostrate cancer, succumbed to the disease himself in 2013.
