"The Path" was a club hit for songwriter/percussionist Ralph MacDonald, who had written such classic soul hits like "Just The Two Of Us" and "Where Is The Love". Appearing on his album The Path, the instrumental was written and produced by MacDonald with William Salter and William Eaton. On Billboard magazine's National Disco Action Top-40 chart, the single peaked at #25 in 1978. Ralph passed away in 2011 from lung cancer.
