Disco Dessert 3/18/21 - "Salsa" by Louie Ramirez...

 "Salsa" was a club hit for native New Yorker Louie Ramirez. Appearing on the percussionists album A Different Shade Of Black, the instrumental was written by Randy Ortiz and produced by Ramirez and Jerry Masucci. On Record World magazine's Disco File Top-20 chart, the single spent a week at #19 in 1976. Sadly, Ramirez, a veteran of the Latin-American music scene, died of a heart attack while driving in 1993.
