 "Do It At The Disco" was a big club hit Gary's Gang, a group from Queens, New York. Appearing on their album Keep On Dancin', the song was written by drummer/bandleader Gary Turnier with lead singer/producer Eric Matthew. On Billboard magazine's National Disco Action Top-40 chart, the Keep On Dancin' album was listed as a single entry, with "Keep On Dancin'", "Do It At The Disco", and "Let's Lovedance Tonight" listed as key cuts. The record spent a week at #1 there in 1979.
