twostepcub's music chart for December 7, 2018...

Friday's here, and it's time to roll out my top 100 tunes from the previous week. Panic At The Disco hangs in for a third week at #1, while country singer Luke Combs (pictured above) remains firm in the top five. Former big hits from Ariana Grande, Jess Glynne, Chris Janson, and H.E.R. drop off my list, while songs from Thomas Rhett, Kurt Vile, and Camila Cabello make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red).  The countdown to my year-end countdown is coming to a close, and will be finalized next week. There are nine songs making their debut on my chart this week (highlighted in blue), and if you click on any of them, you'll connect to that artist's official website for more information. And here they are on video, after the break...

(Click below to see the rest of the post)

Claiming the top debut of the week is British neo-house act Clean Bandit, who go a bit breezier at #76 with "Baby" featuring Marina (formerly Marina & The Diamonds) and Luis Fonsi, aka the "Despacito" guy. It's from their stellar new album What Is Love?...

Soul singer Queen Naija makes her first appearance on my chart at #80 with "Medicine". It's been hanging around for awhile, and finally is getting traction at adult R&B radio...

Country roots rock artist Chris Stapleton cashes in at #87 with "Millionaire". The cover of a song recorded by soul legend Solomon Burke a decade ago is from Stapleton's From A Room Vol 2 album...

Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats return with the third offering from their Tearing At The Seams album, "Hey Mama", at #91. The other two, "You Worry Me" and "A Little Honey", are a lock for my year-end best of...

British pop singer Ellie Goulding is also back at #93 with the one-off single "Close To Me" with producer Diplo featuring rapper Swae Lee...

Australian DJ/producer FISHER climbs in at #96 with "Losing It". This song JUST got nominated for a Grammy award for best dance recording....

On the other hand, Swedish DJ and producer Alesso lands at #98 with "Remedy"...

Anggun, one of not the biggest worldwide star from the nation of Indonesia, enters at #99 with "The Good Is Back" featuring Malaysian singer Fazura. It's the follow-up to "What We Remember", which made my chart last year...

The final newbie at #100 is George Ezra, whose "Shotgun" is still on my list at #59 (and on line for the year-end chart). He's back with "Hold My Girl"...
