"I'll Go Where Your Music Takes Me" was a hit for Jamaican band Jimmy James and the Vagabonds, who were having R&B hits way back in 68, but reinvented themselves for the disco era of the late 1970s. James recruited an all-white classic disco outfit to back himself up, and released "I'll Go Where Your Music Takes Me" on his album of the same name. The track climbed to #13 on Billboard magazine's Disco/Dance Tracks chart, while reaching the British top-40 at #23.
