"The Bottle (La Botella)" is a song from Latin soul artist Joe Bataan from New York City, who overcame a tough childhood and younger years to a long career in music. Taken from the 1975 album Afro-Filipino, which also contained the theme song to the hit TV show Chico & The Man, "The Bottle (La Botella)" never made the Disco chart in Billboard magazine, but did climb to #59 on their R&B chart, while the instrumental just missed the American pop chart, "bubbling under" the Hot 100 at #102.
