twostepcub's music chart for August 3, 2012...

Hey folks it's time for my top-100 tunes for the week. This week Carly Rae Jepsen is still on top for an eighth week (with help from a cool US swim team lipdub), while my queen Kylie Minogue (pictured above) leaps into the top-10. Former big hits by Sebastian Ingrosso, Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, and Estelle drop off, while singles by Pink, Matchbox Twenty, and Scissor Sisters make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red). Link-o-rama is still in effect, so you can click on any of the highlighted artists' names to go to their website.

There are eight new songs on my chart this week (highlighted in green), and here they are, with a little about the artists, with links to their previous hits on video in orange. and away we go....

(Click below to see the rest of the post)

The highest debut belongs to Jennifer Lopez, who had a greatest hits set just come out. Titled for her last #1 dance hit (which is still on my list), "Dance Again", the set has one other new track which comes on here, and is already a top-10 club hit, "Goin' On" featuring rapper Flo Rida (making his third appearance on my chart this week)...

There are two songs titled "Spectrum" making their entrance this week. The first is by Florence + The Machine, who was last on my chart with "Shake It Out". Her latest has gotten a boost from a Calvin Harris remix, as "Spectrum (Say My Name)" has topped the chart in the UK for the last three weeks...

New York progressive house DJs Sted-E & Hybrid Heights recruit Mr. V for their top-10 dance hit that makes it onto my list, "See U Move". The pair previous had a minor club hit in 2008 with "En El Momento"...(NSFW)

The other "Spectrum" debut is by German electro-house producer Zedd, whose "Shave It" made the US club top-20 (and my chart) last year. He's back with Matthew Koma on vocals with the uplifting "Spectrum"...

R&B kingpin R. Kelly returns with his latest single to make the R&B top-20, where he topped the list 11 times, from "Honey Love" in 1992 to "Step In The Name Of Love" in 2003. Here's "Feelin' Single"...

Jam rockers the Dave Matthews Band have scored six top-10 songs on the modern rock/alternative chart, the highest being 1998's "Dont Drink The Water". They preview their forthcoming Away From the World album with "Mercy"...

German rapper Du sneaks onto my chart with a track he hit #2 with in his homeland, "Du", the second to make my list (after "Easy")...

Lastly, blue-eyed soul man Robin Thicke topped the R&B twice in his career so far, with "Lost Without U" and "Sex Therapy". His latest is "All Tied Up"...

That's it for now! Thanks for dropping by, and check in tomorrow for my five part "chart sweeps" of Billboard magazine's pop, rock, country, R&B, and dance charts...
