Disco Dessert 4/5/19 - "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" from Festival...

"Don't Cry For Me Argentina" was a club hit for the disco studio group Festival, which was put together by producer Boris Midney (The USA/European Connection) to record an album covering the songs from the soon-to-be-classic Broadway musical from Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. Appearing on the album Disco Evita, which charted as a whole unit on the Disco/Dance Tracks chart in Billboard magazine, the record climbed to #3 in 1980, and also slipped on to the pop Hot 100 chart in America at #72.
