"In The Name Of Love" was the first club hit for the British new wave band Thompson Twins. Neither twins nor anybody named Thompson, the then-seven-person group led by Tom Bailey, the band released this on their second album in the UK, Set, and in America as the title cut of their first release in the States. Written by the group and produced by Steve Lillywhite, "In The Name Of Love" spent five weeks at #1 on the Dance/Disco Top-80 chart in Billboard magazine in 1982, and then again in 1988 with new remixes took another week at the top of their Dance Club Play chart.
