Disco Dessert 4/18/19 - "Today's Your Lucky Day" from Harold Melvin & The Bluenotes

"Today's Your Lucky Day" was an R&B hit for soul vocal group Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes. Appearing on their Talk It Up (Tell Everybody) album, the song was released way after Teddy Pendergrass had left the act. With female vocals from Nikko, the song didn't make the Hot Dance/Disco chart in Billboard magazine, but did manage to climb to #81 on their R&B singles list in 1984. In the UK, the song did a little better, reaching #66 on their singles chart.
