Disco Dessert 4/4/19 - "Arabian Nights Medley" fro the Ritchie Family...
Arabian Nights was the second album for the disco vocal group the Ritchie Family, who were neither Ritchies nor a family, but a trio of studio singers put together by producer Jacques Morali, the guy behind the Village People. At the time of this album, the three would be Gwendolyn Oliver, Cassandra Ann Wooten, and Cheryl Mason Jacks, and the record would chart on Billboard's Disco/Dance tracks as a single entry, with the second side promoted as the "Arabian Nights' Medley". Consisting of "Istanbul (Not Constanople)", "Lawrence Of Arabia (More Today Than Yesterday)", and "In A Persian Market (Teach Me How To Dance)", the record peaked at #4 (album cut "The Best Disco In Town" charted separately at the same time and went to #1).
