Today's song of t eh day comes from the R&B vocal trio Jade, who had landed their first top-40 pop hit in the fall of 1992 with "I Wanna Love U" from the movie Class Act. Their second single, "Don't Walk Away", written by producers Vassal Benford III and Ronald Spearman, was a mid-tempo new jack swing jam that would end up becoming the act's biggest hit single...


"Don't Walk Away" climbed all the way to the pop top five in America in March of 1993. The song spent two weeks at #2 on Billboard's R&B chart as well. Internationally, the record reached #7 in the UK, and made the top-40 in the Netherlands (#15), Ireland (#16), Sweden (#23), Austria (#25), Germany (#26), and New Zealand (#28).
