Linda Clifford was one of the most popular female disco artists that never really got a break on mainstream radio. Despite going to #1 four times on Billboard's Disco/Dance chart, she had only reached the top ten on the R&B chart once, in 1978, with "Runaway Love" (#3 R&B), and never made the top-40 on the pop Hot 100, going to #41 a frustrating two times. "I Just Wanna Wanna" comes from her album Here's My Love, which charted as an album on the Disco list. It reached #73 there in at the end of the decade.
