"Music Is My Way Of Life" was the "B-Side" to Patti LaBelle's 1979 single "It's Alright With Me". While that song made it to #34 on Billboard's R&B chart, "Music" charted on its own as well, reaching #81 on that list. But on the Disco/Dance Singles chart, the extended version of the song helped it climb to #10, Patti's first solo top ten hit on the list. It came from her album It's Alright With Me.
