Disco Dessert 9/15/18 - "Hot Stuff" from Donna Summer...
"Hot Stuff" was the second #1 pop hit for the Queen of Disco, Donna Summer, in the summer of 1979. Taken from her classic album Bad Girls, he hired on guitarist Jeff Baxter from the Doobie Brothers to give the song the hard edge it's known for. Along with "Bad Girls", "Hot Stuff" topped Billboard's Disco/Dance Singles chart for seven weeks, while the former song alone spent three weeks at #3 on their R&B tally. A remix of the track went to #1 on Billboard's Dance Club Play chart this year.
