Disco Dessert 9/18/18 - "I'm Ready" from Kano...

"I'm Ready" was the first club hit for Italian HI-NRG dance act Kano, who hail from Milan. The single rose to #8 on Billboard's Disco/Dance Singles chart in 1980, then crossed over to their R&B chart, peaking at #21 the following year. The song appeared on their self-titled debut album. You may recognize the synth foundation of this track as the sample used in the 1990's bass hit "Whoomp! There It Is!" by the Tag Team, one of the most successful singles of the rock era.
