twostepcub's music chart for October 9, 2020...

Friday's here, and it's time to run down my top "hit" tunes from the previous week. Harry Styles reigns for a seventh week, while Miley Cyrus (pictured above) leaps into my top ten. Songs from Wallows, Marshmello/Demi Lovato, and Ava Max make some of the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red), while former big hits from Kelsea Ballerini/Halsey, JP Saxe/Julia Michaels, and Regard drop out. And everything is Spotify playlisted for your listening enjoyment. 25th amendment already!

There are six songs making their debut on my list this week (highlighed in blue), and if you click on any of them, you'll connect to that artist's official website for more info. And here they are on video, after the break...

(Click below to see the rest of the post)

Sam Smith claims the top debut of the week at #89 with his new single "Diamonds". It's from Sam's upcoming third album Love Goes...

The artist at #90 really messed up his week. Country crossover singer Morgan Wallen was scheduled for a tony musical guest spot on Saturday Night Live this week, but thanks to his stupidity and going to crazy parties and making out with randos on instragram feeds he was unceremoniously booted from the show, and damn good. STUPID, STUPID choices that influence thousands of fans. Nevertheless his single "More Than My Hometown" enters (admittedly made the chart before the news)...

L.A. indie-rock band Dawes is back at #95 with "Who Do You Think You're Talking To?". The song is from their just-released seventh studio album Good Luck With Whatever...

Two of the biggest R&B stars of the start of the millennium, Ne-Yo and Jeremih, team up at #96 for "U 2 Luv"...

French DJ/producer David Guetta and singer/songwriter Sia, who together had one of the biggest songs on my chart of all time, 2011's "Titanium", return together at #98 for "Let's Love"...

The final newbie of the week at #99 comes from newcomer Conan Gray with his single "Heather"
