Disco Dessert 10/2/20 - "Native New Yorker" from Odyssey...

"Native New Yorker" was a big radio and club hit for the band Odyssey. Appearing on their debut album Odyssey, the song was produced by Sandy Linzer and Charlie Calello, with the former writing it with Denny Randell. On Billboard magazine's National Disco Action Top-40 chart, the single peaked at #3 in 1977, while going to #6 on their R&B chart and #21 on the pop Hot 100. It also was a big hit in the UK, cresting at #5.
