Disco Dessert 10/15/20 - "Do What Ya Wanna Do" from The Cage featuring Nona Hendryx...

"Do What Ya Wanna Do" was a club hit for The Cage, which consisted of ex-members of new wave band Visage Gary Barnacle, Steve Barnacle, and Rusty Egan. The song, with featured vocals from Nona Hendryx, was produced by John Luongo, and was a cover of the disco classic from R&B group the T-Connection. Written by that group's Theo Coakley, this version appeared on the soundtrack to the Daryl Hannah movie Summer Lovers, which also contained Chicago's #1 pop hit "Hard To Say I'm Sorry". On Billboard magazine's Dance/Disco Top-80 chart, the single peaked at #23 in 1982, spending five months on the list.
