"Messin' With My Mind" was a club hit for the soul vocal group LaBelle, led by the legendary Patti LaBelle. Appearing on their album Phoenix, the song was written by the trio's Nona Hendryx and produced by Allen Toussaint. On Record World magazine's Disco File Top-20, the single peaked at #8 in 1975, while on Billboard magazine's R&B chart, it rose to #19.
