Disco Dessert 1/3/20 - "Boogie Oogie Oogie" from A Taste of Honey...

"Boogie Oogie Oogie" was a big club and radio hit for the disco/soul band A Taste of Honey. Led by Janice-Marie Johnson and the late Perry Kibble, the act was a rare female-led band in the age of disco. The song, written by the pair, went on to top the pop, R&B, and the dance chart (then called the National Disco Action Top-40) in 1978. It appears on their self-titled debut album.
