"Law Of The Land" was a pre-disco era nightclub hit for the Motown giants The Temptations. Appearing on their album Masterpiece in 1973, the song was written and produced by Norman Whitfield. Released over a year before the appearance of any "disco" chart in either Billboard or Record World magazines, the single was only released commercially in Britain, where it just missed the top-40 at #41. The lead vocals were swapped between Dennis Edwards, Richard Street, and Damon Harris.
