"Dancer" was a big club hit for Canadian singer and producer Gino Soccio. Appearing on his debut album Outline, the song was written and produced by Soccio (under the moniker Mix Machine). On Billboard magazine's National Disco Action Top-40 the song, listed along with the album track "Dance To Dance" as the Outline album charted as one unit, spent six weeks at #1, while appearing on the pop Hot 100, where it peaked at #48.
