twostepcub's music chart for February 1, 2019...
Friday's here, and it's time to run down my top 100 hit songs from the following week. Mumford & Sons score a second week at #1, while Ariana Grande (pictured above) holds tight with her second entry in the top ten. Songs from Jax Jones/Years & Years, Weezer, and Fatboy Slim make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red), while former big hits from Mitchell Tenpenny, Lauv, and Brynn Elliott drop off my list. Polar Vortex is kicking our ass!
Hey guys and gals, I really appreciate every single person who takes time to stop over to my little corner of the internet, but on a non-lighter note, it seems that Twitter has kicked me off their platform. To be truthful, they are saying it's because I called right-wing Fox News lunatic "judge" Jeanine Pirro quote "a lying, bitter wench", which they consider hateful (well, I do hate her), but apparently her attacks on other women, calling Speaker Nancy Pelosi a witch, and threatening other Democratic supporters. So as current explicit Nazis and legitimate hate peddlers can spew whatever with their bot support, I'm shut down (tried appealing, but keep getting automated answers). Anyway, half my traffic had come from links from the platform, since it links so many artists, record companies, and such. Now I don't monetize my blog at all, never have, and never will, but I have to say it's a little disheartening to put the work I do daily into this and have this happen (it's like I threatened her which I never did and they know it, apparently her boy/troll army over-reported that "wench" thing).
What I'm coming to is that is you ARE on the platform, and every now and then can find it to just link my blog, whether the weekly chart, my daily song of the day, my disco dessert, or whatever is on here, it would mean the world to me. I can only offer my gratitute, but either way, again I am always thankful for my friends who travel over here. Thank you so much. (Besides I think my blood pressure may be better off of Twitter). It's just stupid and borderline embarrassing.
Love and peace,
twostepcub.

There are seven songs making their debut on my chart this week (highlighted in blue), and if you click on any of them, you'll connect to that artist's official website for more info. And here they are on video, after the break...
(Click below to see the rest of the post)
The top debut of the week belongs to country singer Luke Combs, as the fifth single from his expanded This One's For You, Too debut album, "Beautiful Crazy", shoots in at #77. The previous four, including "She Got The Best Of Me" which falls to #21 this week, are all former #1 hits on Billboard's Country Airplay chart...
The bro-dance duo Chainsmokers enlist country singer Kelsea Ballerini for their latest single, "This Feeling", which enters at #86. It's only fair since country radio has been pissing on female artists for a couple years now. It's the second from their Sick Boy album to reach my chart...
Hungarian dance-pop singer Gigi Radics arrives at #95 with her club hit "Moment" featuring producer Rio, who has worked with Chance The Rapper and Schoolboy Q (the latter grabbing him a Grammy nom). Gigi has competed to represent her country for the Eurovision Song Contest a few times, and now is a judge on Hungary's version of The X Factor...
Iranian-American DJs Masoud Fuladi and Brian Wayy, who record together under the moniker MaWayy, shuffle in at #96 with "Blame"...
At #97 is the third single from blues-rock artist Leon Bridges' Good Thing album to reach my chart, this time with "If It Feels Good (Then It Must Be)"...
I really need to go see Spiderman: Into the Spider-verse, though I probably won't get to until it's out on video. In the meantime, the #1 pop hit song from the animated film, "Sunflower" from rappers Post Malone and Swae Lee (half of the duo Rae Sremmurd), sprouts up at #99...
The last new entry of the week at #100 is from newcomer Katerina Villegas, who has gone from beauty queen to clubfiller as her second dance hit to make my chart "Hey Mami". The first, "Dangerous Love", came in 2017...
