Disco Dessert 2/8/19 - "Off Broadway" from George Benson...

"Off Broadway" was the "B-side" to the top ten R&B hit from jazz-soul musician George Benson, "Love X Love". That song went to #9 on Billboard magazine's R&B chart, as well as #61 on the pop Hot 100. The single was big in England, hitting #10 there. Appearing on Benson's Give Me The Night album, "Off Broadway" would become a cult classic, and earned George a Grammy Award for Best R&B Instrumental Performance in 1981. It was written by Rod Temperton, leader of the band Heatwave "Boogie Nights" and writer for Michael Jackson.
